Brianna represents employers at all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as in private mediation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings before such agencies as the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), the California Civil Rights Department (CRD) (formerly the Department of Fair Employment and Housing), the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and the Employment Development Department (EDD). Her experience includes class, collective and representative actions, including Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) litigation, and single plaintiff cases.
Brianna advises and counsels employers on the full spectrum of issues employers face under California and federal law, including employee discipline and discharge, investigations of claims of harassment, discrimination and retaliation, leaves of absence, employee classification, independent contractor status, and compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Brianna also regularly assists employers with traditional labor matters, including grievance management, union avoidance, and organizing campaigns. She also represents employers in collective bargaining negotiations, union representation matters, and in the defense of unfair labor practice charges.
